As a college student, it seemed I had a lot of car problems. I was constantly searching the want ads for another car and towing my old one to the salvage yard. My grandparents, especially my grandfather, loved it when I would get a new car. Well, any car that was new to me. I would always drive to their home and show it off to them. My grandmother look at the paint job and the interior, making sure it was clean. She always had a little comment to make, usually something to the effect of "keep the floorboards clean so the carpet won't wear out."
